LA’s Pure Luxury is one to get to know

Friday, October 26th, 2018

I recently came across some content from an artist on the rise who’s music is bound to get your attention just like his name. Out of Los Angeles, California, rapper and producer Pure Luxury is not one to be slept on. Originally starting out as a producer, he eventually figured out that sending beats for other people to rap on and selling beats via Youtube weren’t the kind of moves he wanted to make. Pure Luxury would soon be inspired by his friend MCM Raymond to take on rapping and was influenced stylistically through Tyga and Migos (who were underground at the time). Luxury and Raymond soon teamed up to make their joint track “Lax”. After the release , Luxury and Raymond continued to release trap songs but soon realized that tapping into sounds of the west coast would be more beneficial for them and indeed it was. Luxury soon went from experiencing thousands of plays to hundreds of thousands and it’s no doubt that what he’s doing right now is following that same wave. This year Pure Luxury has released a couple tracks underneath his name and recently he dropped his track “Not Yo Nigga” featuring Nasty Nas along with a visual for it following up after his track “Give It To Me”.

It’s clear that what Luxury has, the people want and it’s definitely apparent in how it’s currently gravitating. Luxury plans to release two visuals before the year including one for an unreleased track which is set to release in late November with a release for the second in December.  For now, get to know our artist on the rise, check out his Soundcloud here, peep the visual above, and give us your thoughts!

Kris Rich drops visual for “Pistol Play”

Wednesday, May 16th, 2018

Rising artist and NC’s very own Kris (Keep Real In Soul) Rich is not a rapper you’ll want to sleep on for long. The young rapper released his first EP back in 2016 entitled Hood Nigga With Class and acquired over half of a million listens via SoundCloud. Following the the success of his debut project, the rapper released his second project I Thought You Should Kno in 2017.

Earlier this year I got to witness the rapper in action when he performed his song “Pistol Play“at Milan Hightower’s Dirty Sauce Gala event during CIAA in Charlotte, NC. During the performance, the crowd couldn’t deny the banger nor could I so it was definitely no secret that the rapper had a win on his hands. Luckily for us, “Pistol Play” which currently holds over 173K listens is now finally accompanied by a visual. Check out Kris Rich’s latest video below and let us know your thoughts!

It’s that time of the year where you’re either transitioning the heat on your feet or staying consistent with what you already have in your closet. Here’s some feet heat  that we are eyeing this winter.

  1. Louis Vuitton Customized Air Force 1s are ususally a very rare thing to peep but we did ! You can typically customize a pair through Etsy.
  2. Chelsea’s rhinestone black boots are from the My Perfect Pair boutique based in Greensboro, NC.
  3. Gabriel’s Wave Runner 700 are hard to find at a good price (depending on what you view as good). The sneaker  that strays from the typical Yeezy silhouette incorporates technology for comfortability and a mix of neutral and cool tones that bring the dad shoe of 2017 to life. You mayor may not can check out the sneaker through Gabriel’s store Request Boutique (located at Four Seasons Mall on the 2nd floor)or through Worldwide Accessories
  4. Sonny is rocking the customized Winter Rose Nike Air Force 1s Low  to compliment his Burgundy velvet tracksuit.
  5. Dvonn took it all the way back with his Reebok x BBC Green Suede sneakers. You will rarely come across these but when you finally cop them, you’ll see that the hunt was worth it.
  6. It seems like Nike has been on a roll with their releases as of lately and out of all their releases, their “All Over” Air Force 1s definitely stand out. You can cop the sneaker from most local retailers, but in this case these kicks were brought to you by Social Status! Def a great cop for the season.

Sydney Graham and I talk styling, dating, striving for happiness over clout, Prince +more in our latest Everything Boisterous Interview

Tuesday, August 15th, 2017

Recently I got to chop it up with stylist, model, and actress Sydney Graham about her introduction into the industry, her love for Prince, her personal style, dating, and why clout isn’t the gateway to happiness.

Me:Hey girl ! Let’s jump into it ! So what was your first introduction into the industry ?

Sydney: I think it would’ve been my Matte Brand shoot with Bri (Briana Wilson).. this is probably like two years ago so it was a long long time ago. Then things kinda started coming my way day by day, month by month. Whatever pace it was at and yeah that was it !

Me: Dope & Where are you from ?

Sydney: I’m from Corona, California. It’s like a hour and 20 minutes from LA depending on the traffic and it’s also like on the way to San Diego

Me: Yeah that LA traffic is crazy, I came down there last month for Agenda and I felt so over-whelmed. I don’t think I’m cut I’m out for it

Sydney: Yeah it is a lot but I wonder what New York is like

Me: Yeah New York is lit but it’s impossible to get anywhere. Buses will damn near try to run you over and people are just following with no worry, like it’s crazy…Aside from that, you definitely got to visit Manhattan and Jamaican Queens though, you’ll have a good time.

Sydney: Definitely!

Me: So I know you style, model, and act as well . What occupation do you think you enjoy the most out of all them and why?

Sydney: Mmmm… I feel like I like styling the most because it’s the easiest I would say. Everything comes together easily for me when it comes to putting outfits together. Everything else you have to study a script for or with modeling you got to make sure those angles are on point .Styling just comes super super easy and is my favorite out of those I would say.

Me: So I know you said that styling for you was the easiest. How did styling even come about for you ? Was it something you just enjoyed doing on yourself or did you just try it out or ?

Sydney: Well someone told me that I needed to..ya know..switch it up as far as clothing and to start going outside of my comfort zone. Eventually I was like “actually I feel like I can take these skills and put it on someone else and can probably try dressing up other people”. It kinda came to me probably February/March… when I got bored of dressing myself up in cool outfits, I kinda wanted to do it for someone else.

Me: So how would you describe your own personal style ? Because I’ve seen you wear cat suits to  trying out just about everything without ever allowing the outfit wear you. How would you describe what you go for?

Sydney: My own personal style? That’s a hard question because I feel like this is what everyone says “ohhhh it depends what mood that I’m in” but it really is that. If I’m feeling sexy then I’m gonna wear something raunchy or something with a little height. It really depends on the mood I’m in or if I’m anxious to wear something what I just got.  I really don’t know how to describe my style.

Me: Do you think it’s still developing or it just depends?

Sydney: Yeah I think it is still developing at this point so maybe soon ill have a clear word for it but for right now, definitely not

Me: So while creating your own style for you and others, do you think self-confidence came along the way or do you think you had it before?

Sydney: Oh I definitely had confidence way before styling. I think that confidence is what contributed to my style ,but confidence was definitely there before, for sure.

Me: Definitely ! So I’m looking through your Instagram and you have some pieces with Prince apart of it whether it’s a shirt or necklace. Being that you’re a huge fan, what would you say is your favorite Prince album and song ?

Sydney: I think my favorite album would be Signs O’ The Times but my favorite song isn’t on the album. Its on[ I feel so basic ,Purple Rain], but Darling Nikki. I always listen to that before a photo shoot because it makes me get in the zone. Yeah.. that would have to be my favorite song, I listen to it like every other day.

Me: I definitely feel you, I play Prince like once a week and HAVE to play “Beautiful Ones”.

Sydney: Yeah that’s going to be my wedding song[aha], I love that song

Me: So speaking of music , I peeped that you played a role in Steve Lacy’s video for Ryd earlier this year . How did that collaboration come about ?

Sydney: Well we were already friends and so then it was kinda like out of nowhere he just hit me up and asked me to be in his music video and I’m like “yeah sure”. We rehearsed it the night before, the next day we went out there and shot the whole thing. He knew I was trying to get into acting so that was cool of him to even offer that to me and pretend that I was beating his ass

Me: Do you see yourself taking on any other roles this year ? Because in the video you played like a crazy girlfriend

Sydney: Hopefully, honestly. This stuff isn’t easy at all but yeah I really really want to book a challenging role. Mainly like action because these action movies make me wanna be like Wonder Woman or something

Me: Yeah like the Black Panther movie that’s dropping next year is going to be crazy! I seen Lupita and Michael B. Jordan and it’s like yeah, I’m going to definitely make that move.

Sydney: Omg yes! That movie is about to be so good. That’s the move for me!

Me: Being that you pretty much have 3 different jobs within the industry , how hard is it for you to date ?

Sydney: Oh hell no, I’m not dating anybody right now.

Me: What’s something about you that people would never guess ?

Sydney: Probably that I’m obsessed with my cat named Toby, I think that would be about it.

Me: What’s a piece of advice that you would give to any girl who wants to be in your position one day whether that be for styling, modeling, or acting ? And what can we look forward to from you for the rest of the year ?

Sydney: I would say…. just keep going and don’t stop because however much effort you put into  what you want to do is what you will get out. I had to learn that the hard way because there will be times when I don’t feel like doing anything and nothing will come to me. Once I put myself out there and start working hard and putting energy into something, I got what I wanted. Also do what you makes you happy too! Don’t do it because it easy and sometimes why I feel like some girls do this Instagram thing and whatever’s poppin’ right now. You should do what just works for you. I used to job hop all the time working at Best Buy, sushi restaurants, and I just couldn’t find what I was passionate about until I went off to modeling, acting, and styling. I dropped out of college because I saw my calling.

Me:  So pretty much just  do what you wanna do without wanting clout ?

Sydney : Yeah don’t do it for clout, clout doesn’t do anything for you at the end of the day.

Me: What can we look forward from you for the rest of the year? Because you’re literally always working

Sydney: Just keeping busy, not gonna put anything out there yet. It’ll be a surprise and it’s something I’m excited about!

Me: Well I definitely enjoyed this ! You were awesome! Thank you for your time here at Everything Boisterous!

Sydney: Yeah definitely! No problem and thank you !

As of lately Atlanta native and  R&B songstress Lyssa has been doing some soul searching and hasn’t been falling short of making that know. Between moving back to H-town to frame music as a priority and experimenting with trap drums, soulful synths, vivacious melodies, candid consciousness, and self- liberation, she has been stripping away everything the world taught her to be true, and finding validity within herself as not only an artist but as a person. While searching for clarity, the singer recently debuted not just one but three new  tracks including “Joy Ride”, “Who I Be”, and “Sorcery”  in preparation for the release of her second EP  entitled Feel Me 2 to the public.  Take a joy ride with the rising songstress on her latest singles and enjoy the latest  ATL vibe below :

The Definition of A Pink Summer: Bucky Malone

Friday, May 26th, 2017

Since the beginning of the year rapper Bucky Malone has been on a constant move, giving us more music and an aesthetic to match. The DMV rapper caused us to start talking back in 2011 with his mixtapes like That Yea. , Weekend at Coney Island, and his collaborations with A$AP Ty Beats.  In January, the DMV artist released his mixtape enitled The Pink Summer featuring  a major amount of production from Divine Council’s ICYTWAT, Blackyouth and Baltimore producer Aaron Lacarte. Post dropping the mixtape, he released two visuals for “Wi$hlist” and “Missions” , and as of this week a playlist to show his appreciation for his fans .During the interview, the DMV artist and I chop it up about what he misses about the 90s, how him and ICYTWAT joined forces,  how close he’s gotten to his “Wi$hlist”, and what a perfect day exactly consists of for Bucky Malone .

Me: What’s up Bucky , how are you ?

Bucky: I’m good, thank you

Me: So I know you are originally from Virginia but  what part of VA are you from because there’s the DMV and then there’s  the remaining cities like Hampton, Richmond, and Norfolk?

Bucky: Word word, I’m from Northern Virginia, specifically the city Manassas ,like 10 minutes away from DC.

Me: What was growing up in the DMV like for you ?

Bucky: Growing up in the DMV influenced me in many ways. I grew up in nothern Virginia which for the most part is suburban you know. While on the flipside I would go across the bridge in DC and Maryland with my dad side which was closer to the inner city so I kinda had the best of both worlds.

Me:I feel it. So you have a song called “Lil Ralph Tresvant”, was Boys II Men a musical influence for you growing up or?

Bucky: Oh yeah I been a fan wayyy before the biopic came out and all that. I know a lot of people that didn’t know too much about them before the movie but I’ve always been a fan of Ralph specifically though. I just feel like… I  can relate to him in every angle.  He had a lot of people hatin’ on him and I’ve been there.

Me: Did you like the biopic ?

Bucky: Yeah it was dope ! I loved it just cause everything was accurate so it was just crazy to see it in  the form of an actual movie. I think they did a great job from the actors to the routines and situtations, all that. I f*cked with it.

Me: So earlier this year you released a mixtape called “Pink Summer”  that includes a lot of production from  Divine Council’s ICYTWAT.  Now I know you all have been working since “Beeper” (2015)  but how did you guys’ musical chemistry  inititially  come about  ?

Bucky: Believe it or not, we just met.

Me: Wait, are you serious ?

Bucky: Yeah we’ve been in contact via internet for a minute now. Shout out to my nigga Robert Gallardo( one of the minds behind AWGE,  A$AP Rocky’s art/creative-direction team), we was smoking in the crib in New York and one of his songs came across the Soundcloud and I was so blown away.I really f*cked with his sound  cause he was so polished at like 16. I was impressed. As soon as I came home from NY , I immediately did a verse on one of his instrumentals, asked him if he f*cked with it in a DM, and he said he did so that song is what became “Dirty Bitch Freestyle” .

Me: Wow that’s really dope

Bucky : Yeah we just kept the ball rolling from there. I came out to one of their shows late last year and that’s when I met $ilkmoney, Cyrax!, and Lord Linco.

Me: This is while they were on tour with Young Thug or after that?

Bucky: It was sometime late last year so yeah it was after the tour.

Me: Thats really wassup ! Now on the mixtape yall worked on, you sorta painted a 90s aesthetic from the “Flicking Thru Channels Skit”, to even the  90s Nickelodeon visual for “Missions”. What is something about the 90s culture that you wish was still relevant now?

Bucky: I grew up on all the 90s shows and I just miss how simple life was. Those times were some of the happiest moments of my life, you know what I’m sayin’?Alot of people aren’t hip to the 90s like at all but ultimately it’s just the ora that I miss about it. I see A$AP Rocky bringing certain 90s fashion back and Lil Yachty with the Nautica. I guess what I miss about the 90s is everything.

Me: Great points, maybe we’ll get it back one day but now I wanna discuss your song  “Wi$hlist”.  I peeped it when it came out , digged the visual, and you placed Keke Palmer, Yes Julz, Zoe Kravitz, and  London Zhiloh as THE girls on that list. Since putting out the single, have  you managed to get in contact with at least one or close to it ?

Bucky: To keep it real I ended up performing right in front of Zhiloh in Philly. It was a Reeok party out there and I pulled up. I found out she was hosting and it was just too trill. I turned next to me and there she was. I was like oh sh*t. I got up and performed it right there on stage.

Me: That’s definitely wassup! So you recently  just dropped a surprise playlist for the people who were hip to your mixtape release back in January. Why was this playlist so important for you to drop ?

Bucky:  This album was to not just to promote my earlier project but to give something to the fans that fucked with “Pink Summer” when I dropped it. Also the playlist is so that they can have something to listen to until the next project. I didn’t feel right just putting out one project for the year and letting it just be that. It’s the summer time so it’s time to turn up.

Me: You have an intro on the playlist called “Little Tokyo II”. How’d you link up with A$AP Ferg’s producer HighdefRazj for that one?

Bucky: Shit shout out to Raz, he’s from VA too so we have mutual friends . It’s one of those things where he came across my music one day and it was just like shit, let’s work.

Me: Do you plan on dropping another project this year?

Bucky: Imma be doing more visuals for sure, more features, but as far as another project….I can’t speak on it .

Me: On your latest projects , you paint some nostalgic moments through smoking blunts , dissing groupies, and capturing the 90s era.  What does a perfect day for Bucky Malone consist of  exactly?

Bucky: It would probably be just to wake up, hit a blunt, kick it with my n*ggas, and probably end the day with some sex, more than likely.

Me: Alright, respect . At the end of the day, what is your ultimate message to your fans ?

Bucky: I think the message i’d like to leave my fans with is that i’m not a role model but if I can help mold them more than yesterday then great.I’m myself 1000% of the time so I want to motivate others to accept themselves in the same way.

Me: Wow, that was definitely a quote to remember. Thank you for that Bucky, that wraps up everything!  It was a pleasure to speak with you today here at Everything Boisterous.

Bucky: No doubt , Thank you!
